From October 23 to 25, three War Heritage Institute collection managers participated in the annual international meeting of military museums.
The conference offered a mix of productive working sessions, an enchanting tour of Sofia’s historical sites, and a cultural program with Bulgarian dance and song. The Sofia City Museum and National Museum of Military History provided insight into the rich history, and the G. S. Rakovski Defense Academy concluded with an impressive insight into the training of the Bulgarian armed forces.
ICOMAM 2023 was not only a platform for knowledge sharing, but also an opportunity to discover the charm of Sofia and to forge new friendships with international colleagues equally committed to the preservation of military heritage!
